Problem Note 48116: "ERROR: Write Access Violation INFOMAPS (2)" might occur after submitting PROC INFOMAPS code in SAS® Enterprise Guide®

If you are running any release of SAS 9.3, you might see the following error in the SAS log after submitting PROC INFOMAPS code in SAS Enterprise Guide.

ERROR:  An exception has been encountered.

In addition, after the error appears, SAS Enterprise Guide stops responding if you resubmit the code.

As a workaround, you can do one of the following:

  • Instead of using METACREDENTIALS=NO, edit the code to use the METAUSER and METAPASS options.
  • Remove the METAREPOSITORY=FOUNDATION option from the code. (This workaround resolves the issue only if the repository is Foundation.)
